General manager Robert Talarczyk was invited to do a staging of unique musical-theatrical work – "The Soldier’s Tale" by Igor Stravinsky where theatre, dance and music meet.
We all searching for a tale, we all wait for the happy end. But woe to the one who wants too much… A tale inspired by folk stories about the soldier who yields to the suggestions of a devil will be confronted surprisingly with contemporary times. Stravinsky composition where for the first time in a history of classical music jazz components creep will be complemented with a world of pixels and commos from computer games. Authoress of visualisation is stage designer Ewa Satalecka. A notable Silesian actor Olgierd Łukaszewicz ventured an auteur stage interpretation of a text from libretto in Julian Tuwim translation. Ballet part into language of contemporary dance translates Anna Kasprzak-Chowaniec, graduate of National Academy of Theatrical Arts in Kraków, Dance Department in Bytom. All is directed by Robert Talarczyk. Seven chamber music performers will be led by born on Belarus young conductor Alexander Humala, and solo violin part will play Piotr Tracholik.
"The Soldier’s Tale" was shown fot the first time in a small hall of Narodowa Orkiestra Symfoniczna Polskiego Radia within a cycle NOSPR in Chamber Hall Mood, now we are going to perform it on our Main Stage in the theatre.
