Rebel by choice of coercion? A hero or a traitor? This show won’t be a trial upon Jakub Szela neither historic reckoning with bloody leader’s legend. Michał Kmiecik, one of the most important controversial artistis of young generation in a theatre tooks deliberately almost one hundred years old poem by Bruno Jasieński to show an audience that a distance from social dejectedness to bloodshed is dangerously short. This story will be born from the anger and humiliation. From a disappointment at that how the heroes’ nearest world looks like and what those with power do with it.
The adaptation after Słowo o Jakóbie Szeli [Word on Jakób Szela] and Rzecz gromadzka [Country People Affair] by Brunon Jasieński.
